Gas detection brassard with unusual marking — 2 Comments

  1. Hi Wouter,
8/42 most definitely implies the date of manufacturing, i.e. August 1942 in this case. In my opinion the 1 is a batch number and the SL is the maker’s marking (abbreviation of the company’s name in which the L could stand for ‘limited’).
    Hope this helps.

    Best regards
    Ken

  2. Wonder if 1 identifies the product as ‘the brassard’, the SL, possibly being the newer logo for S Ltd, & the following letters (or lack of in my case !) identify when the batch was made during the particular month, to identify out of date or faulty ? Just a thought.
    Regards
    Paul
